(8 February 2017) Vito Clemente pays tribute, in Tokyo, to the great composer from Apulia, Niccolò Van Westerhout on Monday February 27 at the Umberto Agnelli Auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo (18:30-20:30). This event was organised by the organising committee of the Japan Apulia Festival and by the ICI and is sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Tokyo, Apulia Region, the city of Bari and the municipality of Bitonto. Clemente will perform on the piano along with an entirely Japanese chorus. This is an evening to commemorate Niccolò van Westerhout (Mola di Bari, 17 December 1857 – Naples, 21 August 1898): e major exponent of the Neapolitan school of opera and author of numerous arias of very refined lyricism.
