The master in sports management of the University Milano-Bicocca at the IOC

(February 8, 2017) Prof. Francis Gabet, Director of the Foundation "Culture and Olympic Heritage" of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and Director of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, after holding last January 20 a Master Class (in English) at the University of Milano-Bicocca on "management and communication programs and cultural activities of the International Olympic Committee", invited the 25 soon-to-be graduated at the master in "Sport management, Marketing and Society" to a study day at the "Olympic Museum" (TOM) in Lausanne, characterized by an unprecedented multimedia presence, to launch a joint study on the theme "Culture, Sport and Society", which will be deepened with an internship open to all members in Barcelona in April. On February 10 students enrolled in the Master, coordinated by Prof. Franco B. Ascani, Member of the Olympic Cultural Heritage Commission of the IOC and president of the Ficts Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, will take part in the study day consisting in a visit to the Historical Archives and videos –libraries of the Olympic Studies Centre and lectures organized by François-Marie Bourgeois, IOC Project Manager for Corporate Development, Brand and Sustainability, who will present the International Olympic Committee, Francesco Ricci-Bitti, President of ASOIF (Association of Summer Olympic International Federations) and SportAccord, by Maria Bogner, director of the Olympic Studies Centre and by Stephanie Moreno, Visits Coordinator at the Olympic Studies Centre. Inside the Olympic Museum are exhibited memorabilia of the greatest champions of all time. For Italy: Pietro Mennea shoes and Edoardo Mangiarotti foil.
