Among these "Laura non c’è". Exactly 20 years ago, February 18, 1997 Filippo Neviani aka Nek, in fact, brought on the stage of the Ariston "Laura non c’è": he did not win, but the single becomes a worldwide success that brings the album ( "Lei, gli amici e tutto il resto") to sell 2 million copies and get 6 discs of Platinum. Single and album enter the charts in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Belgium and Finland. At the same time, the release of the Spanish version opens to Nek the doors to the South American market, reaching the top of the charts in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina and Mexico. A long wave that continues today with the inclusion of "Laura no c’è" in over 200 compilations for about 20 million copies sold. Many are the languages in which "Laura non c’è" has been translated. As well as in Spanish, Nek recorded the single in English ( "Laura Is Away") and Italian-French ( "Laura"), artists from around the world have reinterpreted in their own language (German, Greek, Dutch, Cantonese, Russian , others ...) the song, which was also revisited in bachata style. After 20 years from that success and after a 25-year career (the first album "Nek" is from 1992, the absolute debut in Castrocaro is in 1991), Nek is now an internationally acclaimed artist with millions of records sold worldwide. "Unici" (Warner Music), was released this fall and went straight to the top of the charts (it went Gold) is the 13th album of the Artist and contains the single "Differente", currently in heavy rotation on the Italian radio with the last few months hits "Uno di questi giorni" and the title track "Unici". On March 3 the single Unicos (Spanish version of “Unici”) it will be released in Spain, the US and Latin America, anticipating the release of the album in the Latin countries. (red)
