(22 February 2017) Design, materials and commercial initiatives: these are the themes of a series of conferences organised in Israel on the occasion of the “Italian Design in the World Day” (March 3). A series of conferences will take place March 2 at 9:30 at the Museum of Design in Holon - organised by the museum’s Aaron Finder Eden Materials Library Aaron, in collaboration and with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Embassy in Tel Aviv. This series of conferences will be introduced by Francesco Maria Talò’s opening remarks, the Italian Ambassador to Israel. Among the various panels of the day are: industrial design, crafts and fabrics, international and local design, construction and branding. Chiara Onida, the artistic director of Italian glass-making company "Salviati" will also speak for the occasion. B2B meetings and a visit to the Materials Library and the exhibition "Overview" at the museum of design are scheduled. (Red)

DESIGN MUSEUM

The Holon Museum of Design is the first museum in Israel dedicated solely to design. The building was designed by Ron Arad and was inaugurated in 2010. The Museum is situated in the east of the new cultural area of Holon near the Design Department of the Holon Institute of Technology.
