The building, headquarters of the Italian Institute of Culture in Lisbon, located in the city center, consists of a 1700 building, in Pombalino style, the former residence of Anselmo Braancamp Freire, first mayor of Lisbon. It’s a three store building and is decorated with precious tiles from the eighteenth century. The IIc features, as well as a Theater/Conference hall, a cinema room that can be used as exhibition hall, a library and several classrooms. Very impressive is the interior garden, which features a central fountain and some tropical plants, including a centenary dragon.
