The Italian Cultural Institute presents two “gems” for the London Book Fair

(March 14, 2017 The 2017 London Book Fair (March 14 – 16) kicks off with a substantial Italian presence. There will be approximately 40 Italian participating in the 46th edition of the largest global marketplace for rights negotiation. For the occasion of the Fair, the Italian Cultural Institute in London presents two books to be released in May, "The human capital. Conversations in Belgrave Square by Marco Delogu" (Quodlibet), which follows "The First Autumn"(Quodlibet, 2016) which recounts all the events organised by the IIC over the past year, through the words of the 2016 participants, including texts by Giorgio Agamben, Alejandro Aravena, Peter Greenaway, Sandro Veronesi and many more. "Remembering Giorgio Bassani" recounts all the contributions made in the conference on Bassani, the author of the "Garden of the Finzi-Continis", promoted last fall by the ICI with the British Library and the Giorgio Bassani Foundation. Among others, the publication includes texts by Stephen Gundle, Valerio Magrelli, Claudio Piersanti and Elisabetta Rasy. The presentations will take place on Tuesday, March 14 (17:00) at the AIE booth (The Italian Publishers Association). (Red)

 


LONDON BOOK FAIR

There are almost 40 Italian companies who will attend the 46th London Book Fair, the global marketplace for rights negotiation in London’s Olympia from March 14 – 16. Italy has a 110 square metre collective booth (stand 5C110) set up by the Italian Publishers Association and the ICE Agency (The Italian Trade Agency) in which 17 different Italian companies will be showcased: 24 ORE Cultura, Atlantyca, Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Cartiere del Garda, Corraini Edizioni, DeA Planeta Libri, Edi.Ermes, Editoriale Jaca Book, Egea, G. Canale & C., Gruppo Albatros Il Filo, Hoepli, Ink Line, #logosedizioni, Piccin Nuova Libraria, Printer Trento, and Stige. The 2017 London Book Fair will see 60 different exhibiting countries, approximately 1500 stands and 220 seminars and events. There will be more than 25,000 visitors ranging from professionals in the field, exhibitors, and conference-goers. There will be a series of in-depth cultural events highlighting Poland – this year’s Market Forum 2017 country.
