(March 14, 2017) "Radieuse, Chapter 98" is the title of the contemporary art exhibition specially designed for the Italian Institute for Culture in Brussels, the second leg of a cycle inaugurated in autumn 2016. "We invited nine Italian and a Belgian artists to confront - the organizers explain - or compare their creations with the concept expressed in the title, of course to be reinterpreted in a broad sense ". In fact, while alluding of course to the Cité Radieuse designed by Le Corbusier, the reference is by no means to be taken literally, or in opposition to a particular spirit of the time, but it's especially grabbed in the etymological Latin radius (ray). This word, which implies the idea of certain radiation, but also the bond between center and periphery, and, therefore, a dynamic of exchanges and meetings, to-and-fro repeated, intimately connected with the concepts of otherness, space, diversity. Vernissage inauguration on March 16 (6PM), while the exhibition will run until April 26.
