The concert “Once there was a time in Italy” was a great success and received many rounds of applauds on March 13 in the Smetana Hall of Prague’s Municipal House. The concert, organised in collaboration of the Italian Cultural Institute, saw the Symphonic Orchestra of the Czech Radio directed by Tomás Brauner, interpret a series of pieces composed for some of the most famous Italian movies by some of the greatest contemporary Italian composers such as Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota and Nicola Piovani. The Italian Ambassador to the Czech Republic will be attending the concert which will also be accompanied by film clips and photographs that accurately reflected each piece. The concert was transmitted live by Czech Radio 2, one of the leading radio stations in the country. (Red)
