(March 22, 2017) Visiting the bottom of the sea, Buckingham Palace, the Barrier Reef, Rome, Venice, or even the moon and the International Space Station... all in one afternoon. The Italian Institute of Culture in London organized, in collaboration with the Italian School of London and Google Expeditions, the event titled "Journey into virtual reality", for children from 7 years old. Sunday, March 26 from 16 to 18.30 the young guests will have the chance to explore the world and the space, in the comfortable rooms of the Italian Institute of Culture. With the Google Expeditions app, created for educational purposes to be used in schools, children can see how fun as well as instructive it is to immerse themselves in a "parallel" dimension that simulates reality with the highest possible degree of realism. Scheduled also a virtual tour of Italy: the boys will “travel" to two important Italian cities, rich in artistic and architectural treasures, and then they’ll hover in space. Virtual reality is not intended to replace the traditional class trip, but it allows you to "give life" to the topics discussed in class, with a high degree of involvement that allows a thorough knowledge of the world outside the classroom.
