Film screening of “Il Rosso e il Blu” at the ICI

(29 March 2017) The screening of the Italian film “Il Rosso e il Blu” (The Red and the Blue) (2012) with Spanish subtitles, by Giuseppe Piccioni starring Riccardo Scamarcio, Margherita Buy, and Roberto Herlitzka takes place this evening, at 18.30, in the Benedetto Croce Salon at the Italian Institute of Culture of Buenos Aires. Néstor Tirri: writer, essayist, actor and Argentine film critic will make an introductory presentation. In the Argentine capital there is great attention to contemporary Italian cinema: this is further confirmed by the "Cine para Lectores" initiative aimed at organising film viewings in libraries in Buenos Aires. In March, it organised the film viewings of "Corpo Celeste (Alice Rohrwacher, 2011)," Scialla "(Francesco Bruni, 2011) and "Un giorno speciale” (Francesca Comencini, 2012). (Red)

 

 


“IL ROSSO E IL BLU”

Piccioni illustrates the relationship of a grumpy and tired Art History teacher and a young substitute teacher of Italian Literature who is dealing with a rebellious student. Piccioni also the headmaster’s stubborn personality who rediscovers her maternal instinct when she begins working with student left by his mother.
