“Studiare in Italia”: Italian Universities showcased in Albania

(31 March 2017) The Italian university system will be showcased in the 5th edition of “Studiare in Italia” (Studying in Italy) on March 31st and April 1st in Tirana. The Italian Cultural Institute of Tirana invited 24 Italian universities to “Studiare in Italia”. It is aimed at those students wishing to start or continue their studies in Italian universities. “This event also aims to be an opportunity for Italian and Albanian universities to dialogue whose chancellors have been invited to talk and to facilitate new contacts or strengthen previously existing ones, to facilitate student exchanges and to implement new joint teaching and training courses”. This year’s “Studiare in Italia” is divided into two phases. The first will focus on facilitating encounters between Italian and Albanian universities. The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 1st at the Hotel Tirana International in the Abret hall. The inauguration will be attended by the Director of the ICI of Tirana, Adriana Frisenna; the Italian Ambassador to Albania, Alberto Cutillo; and the Vice-Minister of Education and Sports, Redi Shtino. Following their opening remarks, Albanian graduates who have studied in Italy and returned to the country with a plethora of contacts, experiences, and skills gained in Italy. Three awards will be conferred to Italian Studies students from the Universities of Tirana and Scutari and who will attend the international workshop “(S)CONFINARE, ciò che ci separa e ciò che ci unisce” (What separates us and what unites us) in Gemona del Friuli (July 20th – August 11th, 2017).


THE UNIVERSITIES

The representatives of the universities will carry out a brief presentation that will shed light on the specificities and strengths of their experiences. They will also be available for one-on-one conversations with current students. The presentations will be from: The University of Turin, The University of Perugia, The Polytechnic of Bari, The University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, The University of Palermo, The Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Council”, The University of Calabria, The University for Foreigners of Perugia, The Ca’Foscari University of Venice, The Polytechnic of Turin, The University of Pavia, The University of Bergamo, The University of Bologna, The University of Padova, IULM University of Milan, The Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, The University of Foggia, The University of Genova, The IUAV University of Venice, The University of Florence, The University of Salento and the University of Brescia.
