Italy-Serbia, a bridge for cultural heritage

(April 3, 2017) A first meeting, on April 6 and 7, to strengthen the cooperation between Italy and Serbia in the field of cultural heritage management. A delegation of Italian experts will travel to Belgrade to meet with museum directors and officials of the Ministry of Culture of Serbia, presenting experiences and Italian initiatives for promotion of cultural heritage. The meeting is organized by the Ministry of Culture of Serbia and Belgrade Italian Institute of Culture. In particular, on April 6 at 9.30 will be held at the Yugoslav Film Archive the seminar entitled "A Bridge for Cultural Heritage". The opening of the meeting will be attended by the Minister of Culture of the Government of Serbia, Vladan Vukosavljević, and the Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Manzo. Among the topics presented there will be the innovations recently introduced by the Italian government in the organization of the Ministry of Heritage and Cultural Activities and Tourism, and some important initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the promotion and use of cultural heritage. At the seminar "A Bridge for Cultural Heritage" will intervene engineer Gennaro Miccio, Regional Secretariat Director of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBACT) for Piedmont; Dr. Luigia Melillo, Officer Archaeologist Head of Restoration and International Relations Office of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples; Dr. Ugo Picarelli, Creator and Director Borsa Mediterranea del Turismo Archeologico (Paestum), expert of tourism and cultural heritage; the lawyer Rachele Mariconda, Responsible for the management of the Pompeii major project procurement, INVITALIA - National Agency for the Development of Investment and of Enterprise; Monica Giannattasio architect, specialized in architectural design for the development of heritage.
