Meeting with Amalia Ercoli Finzi, first woman aerospace engineer

(April 11, 2017) Next October will mark the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first artificial satellite, which marked the beginning of an activity that over the years has seen the achievement of ever more ambitious goals. Amalia Ercoli Finzi, the first Italian woman to have a degree in aerospace engineering, during a meeting at the Institute of Italian Culture in Brussels scheduled for April 19 (7PM) will outline the key stages of this adventure that culminated with the Rosetta Mission, one of the most extraordinary feats that saw the help of Italian science and technology. The meeting will address exciting themes such as space-time, the theory of everything, quantum, artificial intelligence. Speakers: Amalia Ercoli Finzi and Francesco Forte, responsible for coordinating the Italian Permanent Representation to the European Union. (Red) 


ABOUT / SPEAKERS

Amalia Ercoli Finzi deals with the design of space missions since over 25 years and is a professor at Politecnico of Milano. Already a consultant for the Italian Space Agency, the European Space Agency and NASA, she has contributed to the construction of satellites and probes for planetary exploration. Francesco Forte is a diplomat of the Permanent Mission of Italy to the EU and coordinates the Space sector.
