(14 April 2017) Today, with the evolution of the digital world, many people have turned to photography. Social networks have become real time photography galleries in which people exhibit their emotions captured through a camera lens. In the seminar "Photography as a form of expression" on April 19 at 18.30, organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Tel Aviv for, the photographer Mario Troiani will talk about how to take impactful photographs to better express and transmit one’s emotions to the viewer. Among the topics Troiani will discuss during the seminar, is the framing: how to compose a good image, how to discover one’s own style, and storytelling through photography. Mario Troiani was born in Milan. He has devoted himself to photo reporting since the 1980s releasing several reports around the world, especially in the East collaborating with various Italian and foreign travel magazines. He was a pioneer of film digitizing in Italy, working on the implementation of digital editorial products. He was also involved in the digital rediscovery of hundreds of classic Italian films in collaboration with Medusa Film, Warner, Istituto Luce, and Titanus. (Red)

THE ART OF REPORTING

Mario Troiani has lived in Tel Aviv for the past four years where – fascinated by the middle eastern light and the multiple colours and contrasts of the land – he devotes himself to photo reporting as well as artistic photography. His photographs have been exhibited in several photography exhibitions in Israel, Europe, and the USA.
