(April 17, 2017) The General Commander of the Harbor Corps and Coast Guard, Admiral Vincenzo Melone, head of the Italian delegation, went to Washington a few days ago to attend the Sea-Air-Space Exposition, organized the Navy League, and a summit Bilateral meeting with the Coast Guard of the United States. The Italian delegation made - in addition to the General Commander - in Chief 3rd Department of the General Command, Rear Admiral Nicola Carlone, the Head of International Affairs Office, Captain-Lieutenant Enrico Castioni, and Councilor Gianluca Alberini from the Italian Embassy in Washington, is It was hosted by the General Command of the US Coast Guard for a series of meetings, promoted with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two administrations, with particular reference to training staff, supporting continuity of relations between the Italian and US Coast Guard. The Italian delegation has participated in the Sea-Air-Space Exposition 2017, the most important US exhibition with maritime theme during which the admiral of the US Coast Guard Charles W. Ray team addressed words of appreciation to the Italian Coast Guard, for having distinguished itself in the international operational framework for relief activities conducted in the central Mediterranean.
