(April 21, 2017) Italian short movies star in Greece. On Monday 24 at 19 at the Auditorium of the Italian Institute of Culture of Athens, the "Corti in Animazione" event is scheduled to give the audience the opportunity to learn the works of young Italian artists. The program features a selection of short films produced at CSC Animazione in Turin, selected or awarded at international animation and short film festivals: there are some diploma projects realized by students during the third year of the school. The three-year course in animation cinema of the Experimental Center of Cinematography was established in Turin in 2001, in conjunction with the Piedmont Region. Since then it has become the point of reference in Italy for young people who see in animation, in the variety of fields of art and communication, their means of expression and their artistic and professional future. CSC Animazione received the special mention "Silver Ribbons" of the National Cinema Journalists' Union (SNGCI) in 2008 and 2015 for "all of its production". The Projection of the shorts is so scheduled: La Fiera sei Morti (2004), Il Naturalista (2008), Sottocasa (2010), La Danza Del Piccolo Ragno (2012), Mamma Mia (2013), Office Kingdom (2014), The Age Of Rust (2014), Pircantaturi (2015) and, finally, Cosmoetico (2015). The Animation School of the Experimental Center of Cinematography was born in 2001 in agreement with Piedmont Region and offers a three-year specialization course supported by: CRT Foundation; Chamber of commerce, industry, crafts and agriculture in Turin; Turner Broadcasting Sytem Italia (Cartoon Network); Torino Piedmont Film Commission. The school offers young talents a technical and artistic training in the various profession of Animation. Teaching aims to provide broad knowledge of the creative and productive process and specific skills to effectively integrate into the Italian and international labor market.
