At the center of the exhibition, the issue of serial design made of prototypes, unique pieces and small series, often closer to the tradition of high crafts than to the strict industrial production. The exhibition explores the history of Italian industrial design and allows the public to admire some of its best-known achievements, many of which have become objects representative of the quality, elegance and functionality of Italian manufacturing products in a time arc between the Second World War and our days. Through the various sections, one of the most representative and original aspects of Italian design is rebuilt and presented to the public, which can be identified in the relationship between design and production and between designers and entrepreneurs, which has contributed decisively to shape and give importance to the Italian school of design. The set up tries to express this dialectical soul and perpetually in tension by first talking about the objects, and by making them the witnesses and actors of a story that concerns everyone. (Red)
