"Open Windows of Europe": Italian and Albanian students meet in Valona

(26 April 2017) A group of Italian and Albanian students, from the "Collegio Uccellis" Boarding School in Udine and the Vlorë “Shkolla Internacional” respectively, accompanied by the heads of school and a group of teachers visited the Italian Consulate General in Vlorë on April 24, in the framework of the "Open Windows of Europe" project. During their visit, they learned about the operation of a consular office in its various spheres of action. The "Open Windows of Europe" project gathers and integrates the Kepass student mobility programme and offers a group of students from Friuli Venezia Giulia aged 16 to 18, an opportunity to attend a chapter of the school within Adriatic area for a period of three weeks. The project, which started on 23 April, was co-ordinated by the "Collegio Uccellis" in Udine, involving the seven top schools of the Region with the aim of improving English communication skills in English-taught classes. The larger scope of the project is to engage students the critical comparison of the different cultures within Adriatic Europe. (Red)


FINAL EVENT


The project will end with a final event scheduled for 8 June at "Collegio Uccellis" in Udine during which students will present their experiences in Albania. Vlorë "Shkolla Internacional" will carry out educational activities for the Italian students who will stay with their Albanian counterpart's families.
