(April 28, 2017) An unaware swimmer just before the attack of an inflatable shark, a dog on a skateboard: unusual scenes of everyday life are waiting for visitors to the exhibition "Via! Street Photography from Hamburg to Palermo ", which will be inaugurated on Friday May 5 at 7 pm at the Italian Institute of Culture in Hamburg. The photographs on display are the result of a photo project started in 2014 by the Goethe-Institut: for over a year ten photographers, five in Germany and five in Italy, photographed their cities according to street photography canons. From the different perspectives of the ten photographers, a collection of spontaneous moments of daily life, from Hamburg to Palermo, was born. The exhibition, organized by the Institute of Culture in collaboration with the Goethe-Institute, will remain open until September 8. Italy is represented by Umberto Verdoliva, photographer and founder of SPontanea, a collective of Italian photographers dedicated to street photography, Mary Cimetta and Stefano Mirabella, also of the collective SPontanea, Michele Liberti and Giorgio Scalici (EyeGoBananas).
