ABOUT / THE STORY

In “Do you see me?” Serena Bruno, played by an incredible Paola Cortellesi, comes from an Abruzzo village, graduated in architecture with the highest marks, has a master and knows many foreign languages. She works in London, where her talents and her dedication are well appreciated. But home nostalgia is strong, and Serena decides to go back to Italy: of course, finding employment is difficult, especially as a woman, and she manages to make ends meet doing three jobs well below her skills. In the adventurous pursuit of an adequate job, she faces a crazy choice, getting through what everyone expects her to be: a man. Meanwhile, she meets Francesco, handsome and fascinating, played by Raul Bova. The two, tied by a strong friendship, are ready to do all they can to help themselves, proving that to be really oneself, sometimes it's better to pretend to be someone else.
