(16 May 2017) Federico Albanese and his piano arrive for the first time in Slovakia. The tour that is taking him around Europe will soon bring him to Bratislava: Monday, June 5 at the Primatiale Palace. The Albanese concert organised by the Italian Institute of Culture in Bratislava with Hlavné mesto SR Bratislava and Ponti di Cultura is occasioned by the opening of the 10th Italian festival "Dolce vitaj". Albanese is a pianist and composer, born in Milan (class 1982) and raised in Berlin, renowned for his arioso and cinematographic melodies that admirably blend classical, electronic, minimalist, and pop music. His dreamy and refined notes are reminiscent of Dustin O'Halloran, Nils Frahm, Michael Nyman, and Olafur Arnalds and groups such as Mogwai and Durutti Column. During his brilliant career, Albanese also collaborated with Ludovico Einaudi. His debut album "The Houseboat and the Moon", released for Denovali, was defined by critics as "one of the most beautiful modern classical music albums of recent times". Last year's second album, "The Blue Hour", released by the historic Berlin Classics in their contemporary "Neue Meister" music series, was a success: it received wide acclaim from critics and the public.
