"Writers in the Library" with Paolo Di Paolo

(May 25, 2017) The Italian Institute of Culture of Hamburg invites Paolo di Paolo on Wednesday, May 31 at 19:00 for "Writers in the Library ..."(Scrittori in biblioteca). Di Paolo, following Andrea Molesini, Mauro Garofalo, and Michela Murgia, will present "Una storia quasi solo d'amore" (A Story mostly about Love) (Feltrinelli, 2016) moderated by Francesca Bravi who will also read excerpts in German. Di Paolo, is also the author of, "Where were you all" (2011, Mondello Prize and Vittorini Prize) and "Mandami tanti vita" (2013, Strega Prize winner). "Una storia quasi d'amore" is about a love that unites two incompatible worlds. This event is part of the wider project "LeggìIo" of the Italian lecturship of the Romance Studies seminar of CAU Kiel which aims to create a contact zone between Italian literature and German readers. THE AUTHOR'S WORKS

DI Paolo was born in Rome in 1983. Many of his books stem from dialogues with eminent personalities of Italian culture such as Indro Montanelli, Antonio Debenedetti, Dacia Maraini, Raffaele La Capria, Antonio Tabucchi, and Nanni Moretti.
