“Celebrating Italy”: a concert to celebrate the Italian Republic

(May 29, 2017) "Celebrating Italy": the traditional concert organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney returns this year to celebrate the Republican celebration. After pianist Roberto Prosseda in 2014, Christian Leotta - also on piano in 2015 - and duo Francesco d'Orazio on violin and Giampaolo Nuti on piano in 2016, this year the interpreters invited by the Institute of Culture will be violinist Domenico Nordio and guitarist Massimo Scattolin. As in previous editions, the duo will perform in Sydney on June 2 at the reception organized by the Consul General, and also in Canberra the following day, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy. The two musicians will present in the Australian dates a music program by Niccolò Paganini and Mauro Giuliani. Maestro Nordio will arrive in Australia after the New Zealand Concerts, organized in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Wellington and several local authorities, where he will perform a music program by J.S. Bach, Fazil Say and Goffredo Petrassi. (Red)
