(June 1, 2017) "ITalYa, Isle of Divine Dew" is the title of the concert scheduled on Thursday June 8, in Prague at the Jerusalem Synagogue (Jeruzalémská 7, Prague 1), promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute and the Jewish Community of Prague. The ITalYa project - a translation from Hebrew of I Tal Ya, "Isle of Divine Dew" - tracks a path that from the Sephardic songs to the Askenazites, from Yemeni songs to the Israeli, marks a sound map, a sort of tree of life Delilah Gutman (voice) started exploring in 2011, along with Rephael Negri (violin). ABOUT / PROJECT

The project was born from the passion of Gutman, an Italian-based composer, pianist and singer, for the Jewish tradition. Italy has also been the cradle of one of the oldest Jewish communities in Europe and the project also explores this aspect of Italy as a land where cultures have always met, clashed and integrated, and then enriched each other. The program is part of the 26 tracks of a record that Gutman and Negri recorded in 2014 with the international Stradivarius label.
