(June 2, 2017) Just a month after the last one, another successful mission for Ariane 5, that has launched two telecommunications satellites ,ViaSat-2 and EUTELSAT 172B. This is the third mission for Ariane 5 in 2017. The Italian company Avio participates in the Ariane 5 launcher with solid propulsion engines and liquid oxygen turbochargers. Giulio Ranzo, Managing Director of Avio, commented: "Just a few weeks after the last mission in Guyana, we are witnessing another success for Ariane 5, which proves the great reliability of our products and the European industrial system capable of carrying out successful launches At high rhythms, i.e. one per month. ABOUT / THE PROJECT

Ariane’s launch nr.237 from Kourou, French Guyana, carried to geostationary orbit, only 42 minutes after the mission began, two commercial satellites: ViaSat 2 and EUTELAST 172B. ViaSat-2 is a satellite providing broadband internet access services, accessible from sea, land and air, and will ensure increased service quality, spatial coverage and connection speed. EUTELSAT 172B is the first European telecommunications network in Europe. It will provide more efficient services for Governments and Public Administration and will improve corporate network systems and the quality of the Internet connection in the sea and in the air.
