(19 June 2017) Basilicata in the spotlight in Copenhagen. The Region participates in a cultural event that began on June 15th and will close on July 15th - organised by the Italian Embassy in Denmark and the Italian Institute of Culture to promote Lucania and Matera as the Capital of Culture 2019. On the proposal of the Italian Institute of Culture, the FSE Management Authority 2014-2020 has, in fact, joined the initiative by carrying out the exhibition "Building Basilicata: Work and Training in the era of Photography" within the European Social Fund. The Apt Basilicata will be present with its General Director, Mariano Schiavone, who will take part in the presentation of the tourist attractions of the Region. The Lucana Film Commission, together with its director, Paride Leporace, will also take part in the event in Denmark to illustrate the many film productions already completed and the new projects under way, which are the protagonists of the countless and enchanting natural locations that Basilicata is rich in. THE INAUGURATION

The inauguration of the event on June 15 saw the participation of the Italian Ambassador to Denmark, Stefano Queirolo Palmas, and Fabio Ruggirello, cultural attaché of the Italian Embassy to Denmark and director of the Italian Institute of Culture Copenhagen.
