With the Memorandum of Understanding SMG it is committed to collaborating with ANICA over the next three years to support and promote the creation of co-production projects between Italy and China in the television field including films, documentaries, TV series and cartoons . A collaboration that marks a further step forward in enhancing audiovisual promotion events, developed thanks to the China Project, which ANICA is pursuing for DG Cinema and in collaboration with Italtrade. The protocol also wants to encourage the import, distribution and projection of other country movies. SMG has 15 cable and satellite television networks, 13 radio frequencies, 15 pay TV channels, 8 newspapers and magazines. ABOUT / CULTURAL COLLABORATION

In February, President Rutelli co-chaired, together with Deputy Culture Minister Ding Wei, the first meeting of the Italy-China Cultural Forum in Beijing, identifying five priorities for cultural cooperation and the creative industries of the two countries. In this overall picture of the promotion of bilateral relations between Italy and China, the agreement signed with SMG is embedded, thanks to the weaving work carried out by the Shanghai Italtrade Audiovisual Desk. For ANICA, in collaboration with Apt, a positive opportunity to confirm cooperation between Italian and Chinese business institutions and realities in the cinema-audiovisual field.
