The pianist Enrico Pace at the Chamber Music Festival

(27 June 2017) The Risør Chamber Music Festival, organised by the Italian Institute of Culture of Oslo, is considered to be among the most prestigious of its kind in Norway, both at the national and international level. Founded in 1991, the Festival has always been a point of reference for both the public and artists nationally and internationally. The artistic director of the 2017 season (June 28 to July 2) is the Italian pianist Enrico Pace, who is accompanied by Italian musicians at this year's Festival: the two pianists Igor Roma and Saskia Giorgini, and Cellist Gabriele Geminiani. The musicians participate in almost all concerts, in different ensembles, as a duo and as soloists. Enrico Pace and Gabriele Geminiani will also perform at the inaugural concert on June 28th. Born in Rimini in 1967, Pace graduated from Pesaro's Gioacchino Rossini Music Academy. He made his debut on the international stage in 1989 when he won the Utrecht International Franz Liszt Piano Competition. Since then, he has participated in major international festivals and events and is now among the most renowned pianists in the world. Pace also took part in the 1999, 2000, and 2014 seasons of the Risør Festival. (Red)
