(28 June 2017) "The Dante Alighieri Society must operate by widening its student basin in the world thanks to a proposal of high quality of Italian language teaching. We are in complete harmony with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and with the Ministry of Education, University, and Research with which conference tables are provided for specific territorial areas that involve us". This was confirmed by the President of the Dante Alighieri Society, Andrea Riccardi, at the Dante Central Council on June 22nd, during which a programme for the dissemination of high Italian language was approved which describes the guidelines of intervention of the company on the theme of promoting the Italian language in its network of branches in Italy and abroad. Deputy Foreign Minister Mario Giro, the Director General of the Country System of MAECI, Vincenzo De Luca and the Director of the Department of Higher Formation and Research of MIUR Marco Mancini, also attended the meeting. A CONSTANT PRESENCE

The Dante Alighieri Society - founded in 1889 by a group of intellectuals led by Giosue Carducci and erected as an 'Ente Morale' with Royal Decree of 1893, today known as a Non-Profit Organisation - has always been involved in the diffusion of the Italian language in the world. Present in all 5 continents, with over 400 committees, many of them delivering L2/LS Italian courses for young and adult students, The Dante Society has developed the ADA (Dante Alighieri Certification), a didactic tool aimed at disseminating good practices for quality education. Like the PLIDA (Dante Alighieri Society Certificate) certification, all production is constantly being screened by a scientific committee and there are many collaborations with qualified Italian and foreign universities.
