Lazio in Kazakhstan: Expo with 4 research projects

(July 4, 2017) Lazio's research excellence travels to Kazakhstan within the Astana Expo, scheduled until September 10. These are four research projects, the so-called avatars (on a total of 12 from Italy) selected by an ad hoc national committee (chaired by the Commissioner-General of the Section for the Italian Pavilion and composed, among others, by representatives of MAECI and MISE ). There are, more in details, 12 informative and scenographic stations (of which 4 from Lazio), consisting of plexiglass slabs on which will be projected to the full figure of 12 Italian characters (scientists, entrepreneurs, etc.) that will be activated when the visitor In front of them, starting to tell their experience and illustrate their innovative projects. The four projects presented on July 3 at the Dean’s Palace at La Sapienza University have been proposed to the Lazio Region by universities and research centers in Lazio. They are: Smart energy systems, a reference cell for energy districts in the future; The role of hydrogen in the energy of the future; Printable Photovoltaic Grafene and Perovskite Models - a world-wide area efficiency record; energy saving Building research: a scientific, technological and cultural challenge for the 21st century. Additionally, the "totems" are interactive workshops located within the Italian pavilion that will contain other research projects and best practices on the energy theme proposed by the Italian regions. ABOUT / PRESENTATION


The presentation at La Sapienza was opened by the greetings of Dean Eugenio Gaudio and by speeches from the head of the Economic Development and Production Division of the Lazio Region, Guido Fabiani. Quirino Briganti, coordinator for the Lazio Region for the promotion of Made in Italy within EXPO Astana 2017 and Livio de Santoli, delegate for Building and Energy Policy at La Sapienza. It was then time to illustrate the university projects, whose scientific leaders, in the form of avatars, presented the contents as proposed in the Leonardo Da Vinci square of the Italian pavilion in Astana. Representatives of Enea, Rse and Lazio Innova then presented Totem of the Lazio Region. After the debate, moderated by journalist Antonio Cianciullo, he concluded the meeting with Francesco Bonini, Vicar Vice President CRUL.
