All the partners of the "Joint City Festival" project coordinated by Ong Tamat and co-funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) met in Perugia, in the Umbria Research Research Library (AUR). As the organisers explained, the project has a duration of 18 months (from April 2017 to September 2018) and will see preparatory activities and awareness raising initiatives that culminating with a 7-day touring festival in 7 locations in June 2018. The Festival aims to be a light-hearted initiative to illuminate the relationships made by decentralised cooperation, one that has its roots in Umbria, according to the criteria of community cooperation. "Umbria and its cities - underlines the Organising Committee - are places of welcome and of social life that find their way into the history of local associations in cultural diversity in a territory with a migrant flow of 2 percent of the national total (with 2 951 refugees)".
