(10 July 2017) Lucan House, the residence of the Italian Ambassador to Ireland, is a Palladian villa located near the village of Lucan, just a short distance from Dublin. The place is particularly fascinating due to the proximity of the river Liffey. The residence is surrounded by a large park with many historical architectural artefacts. Lucan House is considered one of the most prestigious diplomatic residences in Europe today and represents a historic and artistic treasure of great importance for both Italy and Ireland. It is located in this charming, fascinating place, which will host a summer afternoon filled with music. On Friday, July 14 (at 15:30) at the Ambassador's residence there will be a concert featuring a trio composed of the Italian Rita D'Arcangelo (flute), the Canadian Margaret Bruce (piano) and the Irish Dearbhla Nolan (trumpet). The trio will perform a programme of composers such as Gaetano Donizetti, Antonio Bazzini, Claude Debussy, and others. (Red)
RITA D'ARCANGELO
Rita D'Arcangelo graduated from the Pescara Music Conservatory after which she started playing first flute in many orchestras. She is a guest flute instructor at the Kansai International Music Academy (Japan) and has held masterclasses in prestigious music schools all over the world. Rita currently teaches flute at the Department of Music of the German State University BTU.
