(July 20, 2017) Piedmont will be the protagonist at the Expo2017 Future Energy in Astana (Kazakhstan) on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 July. The event, under the supervision of the Italian Embassy, will be attended by leading national and international organizations such as the Ministry of Defense, the Italian Space Agency, Geodata and Telespazio. Starting from the theme chosen for the Italian Pavilion - centered on the evolution of the energy sector from the 1950s to the present, with particular attention to energy efficiency and bioenergy, together with the energy policies to be implemented by 2050, to decarbonisation and Environmental protection - the program developed under the direction of the Region and implemented in collaboration with CEIPiemonte and DMO Piedmont Marketing provides: - a roundtable between the companies in the technological area and the sustainability of the project "Clean & Tech" at the Italian Pavilion of Friday morning, co-ordinated by CEIPiemonte and organized in collaboration with the E-venti Kazakistan company for the management of in-depth meetings between Piedmontese and Kazakh companies; A networking event at the Embassy of Italy in Astana, again on Friday, targeting international diplomatic representatives, opinion leaders, representatives of the international business community, local authorities, tour operators and journalists; The workshop "Space as a model for Italian development of high technology sectors for use in the energy sector - Inspiring and facilitating the use of technologies, knowledge and space systems for future energy applications" on Saturday morning at the Italian Pavillion, coordinated by Piedmont and Lazio Regions in collaboration with Thales Alenia Space. To open the Piedmont initiative, on July 18, a cutting-edge workshop for industry and journalists, coordinated by DMO Piedmont Marketing and organized in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and Enit Moscow, which saw the participation of 40 people.
