Organist Gabriele Marinoni at Kremnica Castle

(27 July 2017) Kremnica Castle is preparing to host the Italian organist Gabriele Marinoni. The event will be held on Saturday August 12 in the medieval town of Kremnica in the church of Santa Caterina - part of the ancient mining town's castle home to a Rieger-Kloss concert organ of 1992, one of the most modern bodies of the nation with 3,500 canes and 46 registers. It was organised by the European Organ Festival of Kremnica and Ars Consulting in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture of Bratislava, is on Saturday August 12. It is not the first time that Marinoni, an organ player from Como (class of '87) will perform in Kremnica. He has already performed abroad in various leading European festivals. He has also performed in prestigious concert halls and basilicas, in Italy, Europe and Russia. His concert is part of the 21st Festival of the Organ of Kremnica under the High Patronage of the President of the Slovak Republic. This festival represents the largest and most renowned organ music event in Slovakia. It takes place in the Church of St. Catherine, (Red)


A TALENTED ORGAN PLAYER


Born in Como in 1987, Gabriele Marinoni studied organ and composition at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory in Como, under the guidance of Stefano Molardi. Some of his professors were G. Togni (harpsichord), P. Beschi (chamber music), and AE Negri (composition). He defended his thesis on Max Reger's organ music and Wilhelm Sauer's artwork and graduated cum laude in October 2007. During his degree he studied with G. Togni (cembalo), P. Beschi (chamber music) and AE Negri (composition). Since 2007, Gabriele Marinoni has been studying the Organ (Master) at the "Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst" in Stuttgart in the Ludger Lohmann class where he graduated in February 2010 with the highest marks. He also attended postgraduate courses with internationally renowned professors such as LF Tagliavini, MC Alain, and R. Antonello
