(July 27, 2017) Dante Alighieri Society is the epitome of promotion of Italian culture and language in the world. Courses, projects, events, training and even awards. Just over the past few days, at the University of Manchester, the annual "Dante Alighieri Prize" was held, launched in 2008 by the Local Committee of the Dante Alighieri Society and intended for all students combining excellent academic performance a good knowledge of the Italian language. The prize - as the Dante says - consisting of volumes on Italian language and culture, is delivered annually at the university graduation ceremonies. Also worth mentioning is the appointment of Professor Stephen Milner, honorary member and part of the Executive Committee , as director of "British school at Rome", where he will move from September.


ABOUT / THE WINNERS


This year, Oana Ghelase, Charlotte Alton and Hope Needs were awarded. The prize volumes were presented and delivered by Dr. Elena Polisca, PLIDA Committee Manager.
