The sax of Francesco Santucci on stage in Montenegro

(August 9, 2017) Francesco Santucci, born in Perugia in 1963 and first saxophone of the Rai Orchestra, will be on stage in Montenegro. The musician will perform a concert on August 12 at the Music Square in Herceg Novi, during the second edition of the Festival Summer Saxperience. The concert is organized by Belgrade Saxperience in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture of Belgrade. On the same day, at 12 o'clock, he will hold a jazz workshop at the Herceg Novi Music School. Santucci graduated from the Conservatory "Francesco Morlacchi" in Perugia in 1979, then he went to Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He began his career playing the tenor and soprano sax with the Perugia Jazz Quartet and the Perugia Big Band. He has collaborated with numerous Italian and other artists, including Gianni Ferrio, Armando Trovajoli and Georges Prêtre. Over the last ten years he has performed at various jazz festivals, from the Pompei Festival, Umbria Jazz, Jazz a Vienne, Midem in Cannes, the Festival of Two Worlds. (Red)

The Italian Institute of Culture of Belgrade, starting from July 1, 2006, is in its new headquarters, called Palazzo Italia, once Embassy of Albania, located in the central Kneza Milosa 56, also home to several Diplomatic Representatives, not far from the Embassy of Italy. The building has a total surface area of approximately 1,450 m2, and it also houses Italtrade (Agency for the Promotion Abroad and the Internationalization of Italian Companies). In the main building there is a building on the back, overlooking the large courtyard / garden. Some rooms in the building are used for classrooms for Italian courses or other uses of the Institute.
