(August 17, 2017) The Italian-German Chamber of Commerce announced that on October 5, in the Kolpinghaus Spiegelsaal in Ingolstadt, it will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Tal Energia Group, which manages the Transalpine Pipeline that since half a century is carrying oil from Trieste to southern Germany and represents a strategic infrastructure for energy supply, contributing decisively to the industrial development of this economic area. Fifty years after the construction of this pipeline - crossing three states, which then represented a major undertaking both as an engineering work and as an example of international collaboration – the Tal/Siot company in collaboration with the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce has decided to organize a convention to celebrate this anniversary in Ingolstadt in the presence of the President of Bavaria Horst Seehofer and Pietro Benassi, Italy's Ambassador in Berlin. During the event, representatives of the economy of Bavaria and Friuli Venezia Giulia are expected to attend a roundtable moderated by the well-known ZDF television reporter Sandra Gronewald. (Red)

Since 1967 more than 1.4 billion tons of crude oil has been transported from Trieste through the Alps to Austria and to Germany and the Czech Republic, and since then more than 19.000 oil tankers have been discharged in the port of Trieste.
