“Regina e Marcelo” a journey back to the 19th and 20th century

(21 August 2017) A journey through time at the turn of the 20th century between Portugal and Argentina and their histories and politics. The story of Regina, a woman whose passion was singing and who was in love with a man completely devoted to his country. She was ready to confront social norms and prejudices.  A love story written through the most beautiful arias that can be witnessed at the Italian Institute of Culture of Buenos Aires on August 23rd which will host the book presentation “Regina e Marcelo. Un duetto d’amore”: the author Ana Maria Cabrera and her translator Rosella Scatamburl will give a talk at 18:30. 


CABRERA AND SCATAMBURLO

Ana Maria Cabrera debuted with “Felicitas Guerrero”, followed by “Macacha Güemes” and “Ritualespeligrosos”. Rosella Scatamburlo a translator and is also the author of “Ai piedi del David” e “Le forme del buio”.
