Italy-Belarus: The second Friendship Festival

(30 August 2017) Italy and Belarus celebrate their friendship through music, art, and theatre. Everything is ready to go in Minsk for the second edition of the Italy-Belarus Friendship Festival scheduled to take place on September 3rd at the old Town Hall. The event was organised by the Italian Embassy in Minsk and the Executive Committee of the City of Minsk in the context of the Year of Italian Culture in Belarus. From 12:30 to 17:00, Italian and Belorussian artists will alternate on the stage. The folk group “I Tamburellisti di Otranto”, the amateur Belorussian group “Dudariki”, and students from the Academy of Music of Belarus. There will also be a Sand Art performance will be carried out by Olga Radetskaya with music by Andrei Apanovič. Stylists from the Belarus Fashion Week will present their latest creations and actors of the National Belarusian Academic Theatre Maksim Gorki will perform an extract of “La Locandiera” by Carlo Golden in a set curated by Matteo Spiazzi. The group Nuteki will perform in concert during the last portion of the evening, 20:30 to 22:00. There will also be many other cultural activities accompanying the Festival such as consultations by docents from the style school Image PRO, an exhibition of paintings inspired by Italy by Pavel Kondrussevič, a photographic exhibition by the Gruppo Fotografico Genzano curated by the art gallery “Università di culture”, new arrivals in the online-shop “Lingva Store” and the initiatives of the “Casa della lingua e culture Italian Dante”, and also a lottery where people will have the chance to win free Italian language courses. SELFIES AND GOOD FOOD

There will be play spaces for children by the Centre for Cooperation and Education “Sardegna” pavilion and the UNICEF Belarus. For selfie-lovers, there will be the latest models of Maserati and Fiat on display as the perfect backdrop and a photography area installed by the spoken Italian language school, “Lingo”. The main attraction of the festival will be the food-court that will host famous Italian restaurants and wine and food stands. Guests will have the opportunity to taste authentic Italian specialties such as cheeses and ice-cream according to the unique Italian “know-how” and to familiarise with the secrets of the Mediterranean diet in Chef Ignazio Rosa’s master class. The general partners of the Festival are Korona, Shate-M Plus, and Belgroprombank.
