Macfrut: 27 missions over the course of 7 months

(31 August 2017) The international promotional campaign for the 2018 Macfrut edition (Rimini 9-11 May) has begun in which the programme of international missions was defined. Over the course of 7 months, the Macfrut fair will be promoted in 27 locations across 5 continents thanks to organisational and financial support never seen before in the previous 34 editions.  The intent is not only to promote the fair but also to promote the Italian fruit supply chain to favour its growth in new markets.  From September to March 2018, Macfrut will be presented during specialist conferences, some of which were organised by Cesena Fiera.  Many events will also see the participation of exhibitors and partners with which the Fair has established close ties (Coface, Unicredit, Aop Piemonte, Assosementi, Consorzio Cermac, and Fedagromercati). The relation with UniCredit is renewed thanks to the presentation of the Fair to professionals in the organic fruit sector in Bulgaria and Croatia whereas the collaboration with the Consorzio Cermac is consolidated with a joint initiative in Uzbekistan and Kazakistan. In China, Macfrut will also be presented in addition to the first edition of Mac Fruit Attraction China in Shanghai November 22 -24.  Macfrut will also be presented alongside Cibus in Canton and Beijing in the context of the initiative of the Emilia- Romagna Region promoted within the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.  Particular attention will go towards the leading wholesale fruit markets in Europe with sessions in Barcelona, Perpignan, Paris, Zagreb, and Warsaw. Three of the 27 missions will focus on Africa, an area that in previous editions has shown great interest in the fruit market.  The first one, in Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda followed by the second in Zambia and Angola, and the last one will be held in Egypt in light of Mac FruitAttraction Mena. The promotional tour will also extend to South America in Colombia, a partner country of the 2018 edition, Peru, and Chile at the Italian- Latin American Institute Forum (IILA) which has been in collaboration with Macfrut for several years. (Red)


A NEW PHASE FOR MACFRUT
