(August 31, 2017) On Sunday, September 17, the Institute of Culture hosts the Hamburg Literature Festival, Harbourfront, which, in collaboration with the IIC and the German publishing house Folio-Verlag, organizes a meeting with author Massimo Carlotto, one of the most appreciated Italian authors of criminal novels. At 7 pm, Carlotto will present his thriller "Il Turista". He is the perfect serial killer, free of empathy and remorse, a mimetic master who randomly chooses his victims and never hits twice in the same place. Hence the nickname "Il Turista (the tourist)". But even the most prepared and cold-blooded killer is about to make a mistake sooner or later, and the tourist makes his mistake right in Venice. Actor Rolf Becker will be giving his German voice to the extracts from Carlotto's novel. Paola Barbon, Ambassador of Italian Literature, will moderate the evening and will perform the Italian-German consecutive translation and vice versa of the interventions.
