The first Balkan Film Market is on its way: Italian Cinema aims to the Balkans

(September 4, 2017) Increasing the exchange and cooperation between film and audiovisual professionals in European and Western Balkan countries. This is the goal of the first edition of the Balkan Film Market (BFM), organized as part of the activities marking the 20th anniversary of the National Center for Albanian Cinematography of the Government of Albania, which will take place in Tirana from October 2 to 7. Selected as a strategic initiative, a delegation of CNA Cinema and Audiovisual will also be attending the event, with a representation of about 15 companies that are launching partnerships with foreign countries in the Balkans. The BFM is organized with the support of Eurimages of the Council of Europe and with the collaboration of various institutions, including the National Center of Cinematography (CNC) of France and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism (MiBACT). "The CNA with its companies could not pass the opportunity to take part in this new adventure, which could become an annual event, aimed at consolidating increasingly rich and diverse international cooperation with unexplored potential", says delegation coordinator Jordan River (Delta Star Pictures producer, as well as a member of the CNA Cinema and Audiovisual Presidency responsible for innovation). "CNA Cinema and Audiovisual, after a rich activity on international markets with its affiliated companies (MIPCOM in France, American Film Market in USA, Missione in India etc.), was born in Rome last May and continues in its a driving force for development in internationalization", says CNA Cinema and Audiovisual President Mario Perchiazzi, who will attend the BFM. ABOUT / NEW PARTNERSHIPS

Right in a positive moment for employment in Italian SMEs, which grew by 3% compared to the first half of the previous year, CNA in its internationalization planning is considering the possibility of consolidating interchanges with foreign countries, even planning a collaboration between the Lazio Region and the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, always sensitive to the promotion of Rome companies operating in the audiovisual sector and facing foreign markets.
