(September 5, 2017) What is the theoretical and pedagogical value of theater in language teaching? What are the possibilities of using theater in different levels of foreign language learning? Which teacher training for the use of the theatrical language teaching? These are the themes that will be addressed in Spain at the third international conference of theatrical language teaching, organized by the Madrid Committee of the Dante Alighieri Society, in collaboration with Parla Italiano Facendo Teatro. The conference, which will take place in Madrid on September 16 and 17, will focus on theater as a tool for learning foreign languages, a topic of growing contemporary relevance in contemporary teaching in search of new and broader horizons. Some of these issues have been the subject of reflection in the First and Second International Conference of Theatrical Language Teaching in Spain. The need for further study and the request of many professors interested in this research has prompted Professor Donatella Danzi, director of the conference, to propose a third edition that aims to create a moment of encounter, reflection and discussion open to all participants. ABOUT / FOREIGN LANGUAGE THEATER

The conference will see the contribution of prof. Paolo E. Balboni, Language Teaching Professor at Ca 'Foscari University of Venice and a member of the PLIDA Scientific Council. The event will end with the presentation of performances by some professors at the II International Foreign Language Theater Festival in Madrid. (Red)
