(7 September, 2017) The RAI network received the Nomination for Best Broadcaster of the Year at the next Cartoon Forum, the leading European network for cartoons supported by the EU Media project, held this year in Toulouse from September 11th to the 14th. The event consists of 950 participants from 38 countries, including over 200 broadcasters and investors. "This Nomination is an important recognition for RAI that we want to share with Italian cartoon authors and producers," said Luca Milano, director of Rai Ragazzi. "Rai is one of the leading European animation series network, with quality products designed for Rai Yoyo and Rai Gulp who also run on the best international channels. Rai's animation is largely based on European co-productions, for educational and entertaining projects". (Red)

TEN YEARS OF RAI GULP

Rai Gulp of Rai Ragazzi has reached its 10th anniversary this year. It was launched on June 1st, 2007 when it was launched experimentally for Direct TV. RAI Gulp, specifically envisaged for children, was established with the aim of giving young people the opportunity to not only be spectators but also the architects and witnesses of their worlds. Since its origins, RAI Gulp has been interactive and cross-medial for a project that goes from TV towards all platforms, from the Internet to smarthphones and tablets, also using all available social networks. The channel, after a long effort to harmonise the programme and enriching its offer, is now a point of reference for children aged 8 to 14.
