ABOUT/THE IIC
The Italian Institute of Culture is the Cultural Office of the Italian Embassy in Oslo. It was established in 1952 and has been active since 1962. The headquarters have always been located in the Bydel Frogner district, where several embassies are located, including the Italian one which incorporates the residence of the Ambassador and the Chancellery offices. Since May 1994, the headquarters of the Institute is located in "Oscarsgate" street, named after the King of Sweden and Oscar I of Norway, who reigned from 1844 to 1859.
