(19 September 2017) Vivaldi was one of the most appreciated violinists, and considered the most influential and unique Italian musicians of his time as well as one of the greatest baroque composers. He contributed to the development of the concert, especially the soloist concert, to the violin technique, and was also one of the fathers of orchestration. Antonio Vivaldi, born in Venice in 1678 and died in Vienna in 1741, is the focus of the programme on Saturday September 23rd at the Italian Institute of Culture in Berlin (10.30- 11.30, Hildebrandstr.2, 10785) Vivaldi will be "explained" to children by Evan Spagna: guiding young people to listen to one of the most famous and performed composers in the world. EVA SPAGNA

 

Eva Spagna, from Florence, divides her time between music and theatre. After her studies in dance and receiving her degree in art history, she moved to Berlin in 1995, where she turned her passion for music into her profession. Along with her Berlin band "... e la luna?" (Holger Schliestedt: guitar, Martin Klenk: cello and sax) Eva has arranged and interpreted original pieces and new compositions. She has performed with jazz musicians in the Berlin scene such as Giorgio Crobu, Robin Draganich, Manfred Dierkes, Christian von der Goltz, and Thorsten Zwingenberger in various formations.
