A bridge between university education and the Italian-Hungarian economy

(September 27th, 2017) Italy and Hungary come closer together thanks to a call that acts as a bridge between university education and the Italian-Hungarian economy. The Italian Chamber of Commerce of Hungary (CCIU) launched a call titled “An Article for the Chamber” last spring, reserved for those Hungarian university students studying Italian. The participants were asked to write a piece focusing on an economic theme that regards the Italy-Hungary exchange. “The universities, and in the faculties where there are students studying our language in particular, represent the Italian business and trade in Budapest but also the potential Italian and Hungarian investors - something that should increasingly be focused on. These are young professionals with the potential and qualifications to become valid allies of exchange programmes in several sectors and irreplaceable intermediaries in any type of relation and contact because they not only know our language, but also our mentality” according to a statement by the Chamber of Commerce. For this first edition, the Faculty of International Business, Tourism (Budapesti Gazdasági Egyetem) was involved. The award ceremony for the winner of the 2017 edition will take place today at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary (Váci utca, 81. – 1056 Budapest) during which a student will be awarded a two-day stay in Grado for one offered by Marco Polo G.E.I.E. in addition to the publication of an article in the CCIU newsletter.
