(September 27, 2017) Young Italian poet Alessandro Lutman will take part in the 7° Word N Sound International Youth Poetry Festival scheduled from 4 to 8 October 2017 at the Market Theatre Laboratory in Johannesburg (138 Lilian Ngoyi St, Newtown). This year the Festival, in its seventh edition is dedicated to the theme “When Worlds Collide”, and is organized by Word N Sound Live Literature Company and the Market Theatre Laboratory in collaboration with the IIC in Pretoria. Lutman will present a recital of poems from his book “Poems in the fall”, besides participating in various panel discussions and poetry workshops. Lutman, born in 1995, is a young Italian poet, a literature student at the University of Udine. He published the book "Poems of Autumn - Telling Myself in Verses" with the Forum Publishing, which was translated into English and Danish. In 2016 he presented his work in Algeria, Denmark, France, Russia. In 2017 he attended the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival in Calcutta. Word N Sound is a literary platform that promotes the use of "spoken word" and encourages young people to consider for their future literary careers. Word N Sound platforms bring people from every social attraction to encourage and inspire poetry and personal expression. The Festival will host young poets from all over South Africa and from abroad with various activities, including workshops, discussions and shows. Over a thousand people will attend the festival week, with a audience composed mainly of young people between the ages of 18 and 35. (Red)

Thursday, October 5, 10-16 - Written ReMix: ZA meets Italy - Don Mattera meets Pirandello: writers and poets from South Africa and Italy discuss online the works of Don Mattera and Pirandello with 6 stories told about social media.
