Dante Alighieri Society, promotion of Italian language: Masi in South Africa

(September 29, 2017) The Secretary General of the Dante Alighieri Society Alessandro Masi is visiting the Dante of Johannesburg on the nineteenth anniversary of the founding of the Committee. The meeting follows the visit of Andrea Riccardi, President of the Company Dante Alighieri, who on July 14 met with the Johannesburg Dante Board and some local institutional representatives. President Riccardi has been able to appreciate the volunteer work of the members and the leadership and the efforts made to spread the Italian language and culture among our fellow countrymen residing in South Africa. The presence of Secretary General Alessandro Masi is a further sign of appreciation and satisfaction for the work that the South African Committees are doing to promote Italian language and culture in South Africa and to the spreading of Italian speaking and Italian appreciation in the African state . In addition to the Dante of Johannesburg, the Dante Alighieri Society is present in South Africa in Cape Town, Durban and Pietermaritzburg, who will attend the meeting each with their own representative. The presence of Dr. Alessandro Masi at the celebration of the important anniversary aims to ideally pay omage to all the South African Committees, who with their commitment and their commendable work promote Italian language and culture.
