(October 18, 2017)  Friuli Venezia Giulia could develop synergies in Cuba in the medical field, particularly with regard to training and research, also in view of the high level reached by the Central American country that the Italian ambassador to Havana, Andrea Ferrari, highlighted during the meeting with the regional councilor of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Gianni Torrenti, who is visiting Cuba to verify the possible interchanges to be activated. It has been said that Friuli Venezia Giulia and Cuba could develop collaborations in the biomedical sector as well as in the wood and restoration sectors. In fact, there are numerous cultural assets scattered on the island that must be brought back to their original artistic and cultural charm. The Torrenti regional delegation plans to host a series of meetings with representatives of the local economic sector in Cuba to evaluate the actual possibilities for launching specific partnerships, thus contributing to the mission organised by the Italian region and the Chamber of Commerce of Udine in collaboration with the Office for the Promotion of Investment and Technology of Unido Itpa in Rome, within the Cuba-Friuli Venezia Giulia Business Forum
